HOW TO ATTEND THE COMPETITION?ATTENTION! If you're going to attend the race, please don't forget it can be very cold outdoors. You'll spend much time in open air, so be prepared to this. 1. Get to know the weather forecast - temperature, humidity, a snowstorm probability in the area you're going to. If big humidity and strong wind are forecasted, take warmer clothes than you previously planned. Your clothes should be multilayer and, if possible, have an air gap. If you're planning to spend the whole day in frost, take some spare socks and a sweater. Sometimes it's enough to change wet clothes in order to get warm and avoid hypothermia. 2. Before leaving the house don't forget to eat - better some caloric food. An additional energy, extracted from fat, will be used for maintenance of the body's normal temperature. 3. Take some hot (not spirit!) drinks with you. If you feel tired and cold, drink some hot tea or coffee. Already in 10 minutes will you feel the burst of energy and get warm. 4. Don't touch an open metal in frost and don't work with petrol without gloves - petrol instantly freezes the skin. Don't drink alcohol and try not to smoke. Alcohol enlarges blood vases, and it leads to the temperature loss. While nicotine just worsens the blood circulation. 5. Don't forget about safety rules while watching the competition.
