An invitation to presentation of another rally-raid competition was held in the media centre of the "Northern Forest" Baja. That was about the "Silk Way" marathon to start from the capital of Tatarstan Republic Kazan' on September 5th and to be run over the territory of Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. The first "Silk Way" will use the route of the legendary ancient trade way.

"Kamaz-Master" will be the organiser of the rally marathon, and is going to field 12 crews for this race. The total distance of the route should be 4356 km (among rally-raids only Dakar is longer), among them 3208 km of special stages.

The "Silk Way" marathon obtained the status of the fifth event in the Russian Cross-Country championship.

The official presentation of the rally-marathon will be held in Moscow on March 10th.

The invitation has raised a big interest among both comeptitors and journalists.
